Skin cancer is the most prevalent cancer in the United States. Luckily, skin cancer is largely preventable and can be effectively treated when detected early. Most skin cancers are associated with exposure to harmful ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun or tanning beds. By educating on the importance of sun safety, self-checks, and screening, we can save lives. The Sun Bus
The Sun Bus is a charitable mobile Dermatology clinic that provides free skin screening, sun safety education, EltaMD sunscreen and Heliocare samples at events.
The Sun Bus is a member of the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC), the Colorado Nonprofit Association and the Colorado Biosciences Association (CBSA). The Sun Bus was awarded the Silver rating from NAFC in 2024.

The Sun Bus partners with Epiphany Dermatology and other community clinics to provide the free skin exams. Since our launch in 2019, we have provided close to 7,500 FREE skin screening and sun safety education and sunscreen samples to tens of thousands of people in 11 states!

Free Skin Exam &
Facial Skin Heath Screening
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) advises annual skin checks, yet accessibility remains a challenge for many. The Sun Bus is a mobile clinic with 2 exam rooms that allow convenient and accessible skin checks with the help of local dermatologists, Derm PAs and NPs, and volunteers.

Sun Safety Education
The Sun Bus is equipped with sophisticated cameras to provide live educational demonstrations of how the sun damages skin and how sunscreen protects us from the dangerous rays of ultraviolet light.
The personalized education on sun safety and skin cancer literature are provided to all who visit The Sun Bus.
Sun Safety Merchandise and Free Sunscreen Samples
Thanks to EltaMD, The Sun Bus provides FREE sunscreen to the community. Visitors can also purchase their very own EltaMD products, Wallaroo Hats, Sunday Crew UPF rated clothing, umbrellas, and sunglasses directly from The Sun Bus.
